Brandy Talks About That Crash....
Brandy has spoken out about the tragic 2006 car crash which claimed the life of another driver. The R&B singer told Access Hollywood: "It was a situation that changed my life forever. I will never be the same." 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj died from injuries sustained in the four-vehicle collision, which took place on a Los Angeles freeway on December 30.
Brandy, 29, was not charged with vehicular manslaughter, but still faces a $50 million (£33 million) wrongful death lawsuit filed by Aboudihaj's family. She said: "It was pretty bad. There were parts flying and there was a bunch of smoke."
Two years on, Brandy has now returned to her music with her latest LP Human, due for release in the US on December 9. Its lead single, 'Right Here (Departed)', was released in August through the singer's MySpace page. "One of the reasons why this album is titled Human is because people forget that when you are seen everywhere, they forget that you are a human being at the end of the day," she said.
