Fabulous Health Fact: Healthy Glowing Skin!



As I get older I have found ways to keep my skin clear and glowing and I wanted to provide you with simple tips below.  The simpler your routine the better for your skin.

Sleep- When I say I need my beauty sleep, I mean it!  Regular sleep consisting of 7-8 hours helps to promote the natural secretion of human growth hormone which in turn promotes cell turnover and collagen production.  In simple terms this means good sleep equals healthy looking skin and keeps the wrinkles at bay.

Exercise- Increases circulation and the flow of nutrients to your skin.

Yoga and Meditation- This helps to relieve stress as stress can worsen already present skin issues like acne for instance.

Healthy Eating- Fresh fruits, fresh veges and eliminating processed foods will give your skin the glow you desire.

Always Say Yes to Sunscreen- Sunscreen shouldn't only be your summer regimen, it should be your year around regimen.  No matter the weather you must protect your exposed skin with a sunscreen that has SPF 30 or higher to protect against UVA and UVB rays.  Chronic sun exposure can cause dull, rough, and uneven skin.

Say No to the Smoke-  Plain and simple, just put down the cigarette.  Cigarettes can cause premature wrinkling as well as fine lines, dull and mottled skin.

Keep it Simple- Using a thousand products for your skin will not help as your not giving the first product a chance to work. Also using multiple products will cause one product to cancel out the other.  To keep it simple find a routine/product that works for you and stick to it.
