If you haven't read this book yet, leave your computer and go out right now and buy it. You will thank me!
For about 2 years now, we see this book everywhere and lots of people are talking about it, wich to me is never a good sign, when something is commercially successful and accepted (a la twilight) it's bound to be shitty.
Boy was I wrong. When i heard that my ultimate lover David Fincher was adapting this book as a movie (even though the 3 books have already had movie adaptations in sweden) i was interested, and then i read the W magazine interview with him where he discusses the filming of the movie and the themes in the book. I was really taken by surprise as to the subject matter. So i decided to buy it and see for myself.
3 days later, i had finished the more than 700 pages book. I've never read a big book that fast, i was just fucking immersed in it. The amount of detail and back story written in this book is astonishing, but it only helps you fall into more.
I'm not gonna talk about the story, because i think it's more fun if you go into without knowing much, but it's about a journalist and a tattooed girl, they work together to solve a 37 year old crime, and they are not at all prepared for what they find out.
This has got to be one of my favorite books i've read in years! Highly recommended!
