Rumors began on the net during this holiday season that Aretha had passed away. Aretha underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer recently and it is believed that this is how the rumors got started. Teena Marie (R.I.P) passed this week and she was known as the Ivory Queen of Soul but seems like some got it misconstrued and that is how the Aretha rumor started.
Her rep took to report and stated, "Aretha is fine."
