Richie Panic - Girls Night Out Mixx

Richie Panic, Girls Night Out Mixx

The West Coast invasion of Pound for Pound is just beginning, so many good people out on the opposite side doing amazing shit. I can't think of a better dude or a better mix to start off with than Mr. Richie Panic and his Girls Night Out Mixx.

To be straightforward, this mix blew me away. It's just phenomenal, really takes the indie dance sound but gives it some drugs, fucks it up and turns it into something new and original. This probably comes from the fact that Panic did mess with all of the tracks, as I believe everything is his own re-edit or remix. I think one listen and you'll feel like you are listening to something unique. I'll throw the tracklisting in the comments when I have it,

What makes all of this perfect is that starting tonight, MAY 12, the Frisco Disco returns, rising from the ashes like the Phoenix. This is one of those parties that every city desperately needs, one where the music is top-notch, you can hear the newest of the new, classics, all with attention to the dancefloor and not some lame hypebeast bloggers with their backs plastered to the wall, the vibe is open and perverted and debaucherous, and there's lots of girls in attendance. That right there is the recipe, it's not easy to get, but when it happens, it's your duty to be show support.

Get yourself tonight and every Saturday to The Transfer (198 Church St.), the Frisco Disco is back and the world is a better place. Also, make sure to holler at our bol on myspace, be his friend, thank him for the mix, get on some BFF shit. I'm hoping that this isn't the last time he makes an appearance at Pound for Pound.
