R. Kelly feat. T.I., "I'm A Flirt (DJ Dimitry!!! remix)"

DJ Dimitry!!!, "Lohan's Revenge vs Dudun Dun" (YSI link)

My bol DJ Dimitry is making moves. It's really that simple. Dude has one of the best weekly parties in NYC with High Voltage, bringing in cool guests and bringing the East Village back to its partying roots. He's got his weekly gig at Beauty Bar every Saturday, just played Hiro Ballroom, Ruff Club, that sweltering hot Angels and Kings jawn. But, what I'm most happy about is that he's starting to show his skills as a DJ and musician. He dropped that mix a few weeks back, which we featured and you need to download. Now, he's got his first remix and mash-up respectively and I think you'll really like them. A lot.

Everyone who reads this site knows that I have a knee-jerk reaction to mash-ups. I don't like them, I loathe their overuse, etc. So, you know it'll take a perfect combo for me to feature it here. Well, I think this one, "Lohan's Revenge vs Dudun Dun", fits the bill. On the real, this is going to quickly become every DJs secret weapon, the perfect out of nowhere song to get the dancefloor going crazy and the hot girls (or guys) coming up to you to ask you what the hell you just played. And then you give them your email and tell them you'l send it to them and you end up getting room keys. And it's all thanks to Dimitry (and Para One and Pase Rock). It just fits so perfect, taking the Pase Rock original and bringing into the Parisian electro gutter, like a Pound for Pound wet dream. The R. Kelly remix

If you like what you hear and you live in NYC, you have no excuse to not log off the computer and head to High Voltage tonight at Sutra (1st Ave btwn 1st and 2nd Sts). This is the weekly that has become a pretty essential part of everyone's week pretty damn fast. Tonight there's no crazy special guest like Ultragrrl or Yo Majesty, just Dimitry spinning along with Zachary Palmer. There's a Zygo vodka open bar from 11 until it's gone.

The rest of you need to demand that your favorite party book him. DJs and promoters bring this man to your city, see what the hype is about. Get at him on myspace or check out his blog, say hi, thank him for the music, asking him about his adorable pugs. Yeah! We'll keep you posted on my man's next moves, stay tuned.
