I ask this question because someone recently told me they "had" to cancel a vacation with their family to Aruba because of to much work. I said to myself, "Does this individual just work, work with no play?" Hell, either the work would have had to wait until I got back or it's coming with me as I would not cancel a vacation I have been longing for unless someone is dying.
I realize in the work world many people put work first and family/self second when it should really be the other way around. I am not saying to tell your job to go F themselves as we all need a paycheck but I am saying that you can't forget to have time for yourself because everything can't be work all the time. Some get so caught up in the money/work they forget all other aspects of their life and if that money starts to crumble or they lose their job they have no idea how to survive.
I always tell myself self/loved ones first and work second. If that money disappears or I lose that job my loved ones will still be there and together we will make it through. We must remember what's most important in life because sometimes we can get to deep into things and forget.
So ladies, would you skip that vacation for work or does work have to wait as you come first?
