MALAPPURAM: The Samastha Kerala Islam Matha Vidyabhyasa Board (SKIMVB) will announce the results of its public examinations

on Wednesday morning. Nearly 1.88 lakh students had taken the public examination conducted by the Samastha for the fifth,

seventh and 10th classes.

The examinations were held on September 10 and 11 in 8,860 centres spread across the world. As many as 1.07 lakh students had

taken the fifth standard examination at 5,972 centres, 69,182 students the seventh standard examination at 4,698 centres, and

11,151 students the 10th standard examination at 1,259 centres.

As many as 75,318 students from Malappuram district appeared for the examination. Kottayam district, with 153 students

appearing for the examination, had the lowest number of students. The UAE topped among the foreign countries by fielding 258

students. Only two students wrote the examination from Malaysia. The Samastha had conducted a centralised camp at its

headquarters at Chelari, near here, in September to evaluate eight lakh answer scripts. About 900 teachers had taken part in

the five-day camp.

The results will be available on SKIMVB website: www.samastharesult.org and www.samastha.org.

The toppers will be given awards. The first rank winner will get Rs.3,000, the second rank winner Rs.2,000 and the third rank

winner Rs.1,500. Their teachers will also get Rs.2,000, Rs.1,500 and Rs.1,000 respectively. The top 10 ranks will get Rs.500

each and the top 75 ranks Rs.250 each. Madrasas with full pass will get certificates of merit.

Although there are classes up to 12th standard in the 8,381 madrasas functioning under the SKIMVB, annual public examinations

are held only for fifth, seventh and tenth classes. These madrasas are spread across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka,

Lakshadweep, Andaman, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Malaysia.

Over a million students currently study under the SKIMVB. As many as 76,187 teachers are deployed across 378 ranges, with

each range covering 12 to 15 madrasas.
