Britney Spears Tour Cancelled

Could a case of cold dancing feet keep pop princess Britney Spears from hitting the stage for her hotly-anticipated “Femme Fatale Tour” this summer?

Ah, Brit Brit. It happens to the best of us.

Though Brit’s manager — Larry Rudolph — denies it, squeals in The Spears Camp are reporting that the pop star wants to postpone her trek around North America. Britney would apparently prefer to be chilling at home with her two sons and boyfriend Jason Trawick than putting on a musical extravaganza for the liks of us, tipsters say, and The Sun even reports that Brit was shooed back into the studio to record her new album against her will.

“She’s looking lazy and just not giving her performances her all, like she used to way back when she was first making a splash on the scene. She looks bored. She clearly hates work. Rehearsals, interviews, touring – all of it. Everything requires a huge effort to get her to perform at a 100 percent level, and it’s exhausting to her team,” says an industry insider.

Her Circus Tour may have gotten good reviews, but nobody’s forgotten that palaver at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2007.

“Britney has told her management that she wants to push back her concert dates because she’s not feeling ready. She doesn’t feel she has enough time to prepare and has asked management to pull all her dates and postpone everything until later on in the year,” another informant adds. “She’s a perfectionist and wants everything to be better than ever before. She is having to compete with other huge female stars such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga now so wants to step the show up. Obviously it’s gone down like a lead balloon because venues and staff are booked and ready to go. They are trying to talk her round or at least hoping she’ll consider going out in September. Either way, there are a lot of meetings going on about how to announce it and handle it. It’s a massive headache.”
