Jessica Simpson will perform for military families in Denver, Co. on April 13, in the presence of First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden.
The First Lady and the Vice President's wife are launching a national initiative tomorrow to rally support for America's service members and their families.
As part of the initiative, they will embark on a two-day national tour to visit communities, businesses and nonprofits working to support military families.
Obama and Biden will kick off their tour by speaking to 3,000 military and family members at Camp Lejeune, N.C., on April 13. Later they will visit San Antonio and wrap the day at Rockies vs. Mets game at Coors Field in Denver, Co.
The Colorado Rockies and Coors Field has invited military families from across Colorado to a special viewing of the game.
Obama and Biden will speak to the families and participate in activities with them.
Jessica Simpson will be a special guest at the event along with the Air Force Academy baseball team, which will practice with military children.
Jessica who has toured overseas in support of US troops is elated over the opportunity to support Michelle Obama in her efforts.
"It's such an honor to join First Lady Michelle Obama as she kicks off her new initiative in support of our military & their families Wed!" she tweeted on Sunday.
