U.S. Chart Roundup: Heh, Heh! Heh, Heh! Dr. Dre Said "Faggots"! Heh, Heh!

In this week's upper tier of the Billboard Hot 100, there are three songs produced by Stargate ("Firework," "S&M," "Black And Yellow"), three with the word "fuck" in the title ("Fuck You," "Fuckin' Perfect," "Tonight (I'm Fuckin' You)," two co-written by Bruno Mars ("Fuck You," "Grenade"), two containing the word "lesbian" in the lyrics ("Born This Way," "Black And Yellow"), one with "transgendered" in the lyrics ("Born This Way") and one with the word "faggots"("I Need A Doctor").

That's a shame about Dr. Dre's "I Need A Doctor," because I truly love Skylar Grey's haunting chorus on the single. And I've really come around to Eminem, who, after a seemingly hostile-toward-the-gays start, has said he has no problem with gay marriage and is besties with Elton John (did you catch Sir Elt's Rolling Stone cover story a few weeks back? Traaaaaashy—though read the whole thing if you get a chance. Good stuff.)

But it's Dre himself who drops the F-bomb in "I Need A Doctor" when he raps, "When the chips were down you just laughed at us, now you about to feel the fuckin' wrath of Aftermath, faggots." Okay, so the good (?) doctor is using the term in a general sense, targeting all the fair-weather MCs who turned their backs on him when he took a chance mentoring young white rapper Em. But still—faggots. It's 2011. Really?

Wonder what gay rights activist Lady Gaga, who has her own brand of headphones under Dre's "Beats By Dr. Dre" line, thinks? Maybe we're just not supposed to talk about it...

Elsewhere, Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" drops out of the Top 10 and lands at #11 in its sixth week on the chart, while Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" finally cracks the Top 40 by jumping 15 positions to #26. Previously the British singer reached #21 with her 2008 single "Chasing Pavements."

Meanwhile, Adele's 21 was released in the States this week, and is on track to debut at #1 on the next Top 200 album chart. Bet you won't catch her using "faggots" in a song.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Born This Way" - Lady Gaga *2 weeks*
2. "Fuck You" - Cee Lo Green
3. "Grenade" - Bruno Mars

US Chart Roundup: "Black And Yellow" Is #1, But The Steelers Probably Don't Wanna Hear It

Well, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost the Super Bowl, but at least fans of the team waved their Terrible Towels high with one hand as they downloaded Wiz Khalifa's hometown football anthem "Black And Yellow" from iTunes with the other. The Stargate-produced hip hop jam finally climbs to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its 18th week on the chart.

Debuting at #5 is Dr. Dre—who apparently has been more content to live high on his mountain of cash and develop a line of headphones over the past decade than make music under his own name—with "I Need A Doctor." Grammy-nominated British producer Alex Da Kid (check out my interview with him) worked on Dre's track, so its no surprise that Alex's protege Skylar Grey appears on it (not to mention Dre's own protege Eminem).

This brings us to Rihanna's "S&M," which jumps from #66 to #31 after last week's premiere of the song's ho-hum video. Replacing RiRi at #66 is Ke$ha with "Blow," her second single off Cannibal. And two positions above her is Adele's "Rolling In The Deep."

A bit further down, Jessie J's "Price Tag"—this week's UK chart-topper—debuts at #88. Kind of a blase week. But at least, as mentioned yesterday, Pink's Greatest Hits...So Far!!! has finally jumped into the Top 10 on the album chart after three months.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Black And Yellow" - Wiz Khalifa *1 week*
2. "Grenade" - Bruno Mars
3. "Firework" - Katy Perry
4. "Fuckin' Perfect" - Pink
5. "I Need A Doctor" - Dr. Dre feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey *new*
6. "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" - Enrique Iglesias ft. Ludacris & DJ Frank E
7. "Rocketeer" - Far East Movement feat. Ryan Tedder
8. "What's My Name" - Rihanna feat. Drake
9. "Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)" - Pitbull feat. T-Pain
10. "Hold It Against Me" - Britney Spears

US Chart Roundup: How Many Of The Best-Selling Albums & Singles Of 2010 Do You Own?

It's the post-holiday rut when new releases are scarce and D'luv turns to drinking instead of blogging, so below is this week's boring ol' Top 10, but instead—like we did here with the UK on Sunday—we'll focus on Billboard's roundup of the 10 best-selling singles and albums of 2010.

When all the final numbers were tallied up, Katy Perry emerged with the most paid downloads (4.4 million, to be exact) last year, for "California Gurls." Billboard also notes that the five best-selling songs of '10 all cleared the 4 million downloads mark.

Eminem wound up with the most albums sold with Recovery (3.42 million)—an improvement, sales-wise, over the best-seller of 2009 (Taylor Swift's Fearless, 3.22 million). And I love how Sade beat Ke$ha and Drake. That said, it was a grim year overall for sales. If you want to get really depressed, check this article out.

Anyway, I've got three of last year's best-selling albums (Lady Gaga, Sade, Ke$ha) and I believe five of the singles. How many do you own?

iTunes' Best-Selling Singles & Albums Of 2010

In addition to Billboard posting its year-end charts, iTunes has published the digital music store's roundup of best-selling singles and albums for 2010. And it looks like Train's "Hey, Soul Sister"—which was tops halfway through the year—hung in their till the very end. Why don't they just replace the National Anthem with it at this point?

Of the iTunes best-sellers, I've noticed I actually paid (the shame) for six of the Top 10 singles, and one of the albums. But I'm not saying which. Well, alright—I'll say that, surprisingly, I did purchase The E.N.D. when it first was released, and then again for my mom (strangely a Peas fan) earlier this year.

Rihanna Has Been #1 Forever, "Bed Intruder Song" Disappears & Nelly Didn't Cover Cathy Dennis

Folks, first up let's all bow our heads for a moment of silence, as "Bed Intruder Song" dropped out of the Billboard Hot 100 after a lone week on the chart. It was fun while it lasted, Antoine Dodson—hope you went out, rolled deep and had lots of classy sex.

On a far less glamorous note, Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" has now been #1 for six weeks, giving Ri Ri a total of 11 weeks at the top of the Hot 100 this year if you include "Rude Boy." Meanwhile, it was announced this week that she has yet another single ("Only Girl"—out next month) and another album (her fifth) due for release by year's end.

B.o.B's third single "Magic" cracks the Top 10 this week and features Rivers Cuomo. It's the Weezer frontman's second Top 10 hit after his band's "Beverly Hills" climbed to #10 back in 2005.

Coming in just behind them at #12 is Nelly with "Just A Dream." Alas, pop chyldryn, this is sadly not a Cathy Dennis cover with a slightly shortened title.

"Just A Dream" is now the rapper's first Top 20 hit since that horrific trash "Grillz" somehow hit #1 five years ago. (Clink your glass with Rivers, Nelly.)

On a final note, Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" moves up to #32, thereby finally entering the Top 40.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Love The Way You Lie" - Eminem feat. Rihanna *6 weeks*
2. "Dynamite" - Taio Cruz
3. "Teenage Dream" - Katy Perry
4. "I Like It" - Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull
5. "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" - Usher feat. Pitbull
6. "Right Above It" - Lil Wayne feat. Drake *new*
7. "Cooler Than Me" - Mike Posner
8. "California Gurls" - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg
9. "Just The Way You Are" - Bruno Mars
10. "Magic" - B.o.B feat. Rivers Cuomo

Now That Ne-Yo Knocked The Wanted Down To #5, I Have A Better Chance At Having Sex With Them

The Wanted's stay at #1 in the UK with debut single "All Time Low" was short lived, as Ne-Yo's fancy loafers came along and booted them down to #5 this week. I'm still not decided on "Beautiful Monster," either; much like Ne-Yo's 2008 hit "Closer," I kind of appreciate it—but it's just not grabbing me like his older jams "Because Of You" and "Sexy Love" did right away. Both he and Stargate can do better, I'm afraid.

At any rate, we really do seem to be in the doldrums of the pre-fall releases now. Katy Perry is putting a damn single out a week and Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" is so overplayed that I'm thinking of putting a cork screw through my eardrum next time I hear it on the radio. (So, basically, I'll just have to go flip it on and start stabbing.)

Here's hoping The Saturdays' semi-decent "Missing You," which is now out, shakes things up a bit next week. After all, it's been so long since we've had a nice pack of strippers sliding down the pole that is the UK chart in an upside-down split on a Sunday.

Hail Jesus!!!!

The U.K. Top 10:

1. "Beautiful Monster" - Ne-Yo *new* *1 week*
2. "Club Can't Handle Me" - Flo Rida feat. David Guetta
3. "We No Speak Americano" - Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP
4. "Love The Way You Lie" - Eminem feat. Rihanna
5. "All Time Low" - The Wanted
6. "Billionaire" - Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars
7. "Airplanes" - B.o.B feat. Hayley Williams
8. "Pack Up" - Eliza Doolittle
9. "One (Your Name)" - Swedish House Mafia feat. Pharrell
10. "California Gurls" - Katy Perry

Enrique Iglesias' Pants Still On = Stuck At #8 Again

Let's face it—until Enrique Iglesias gives it up and fulfills that promise to water ski in the buff now that Spain won the World Cup, "I Like It" is never gonna move into the upper reaches of the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. This week the single spends a second week at #8. C'mon, Enrique—drop those pants and make the world scream bailamos already!

Alright, on to the real news. Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" has finally knocked Katy Perry's "California Gurls" off the top of the chart. Both songs are completely saturating radio right now, so it's kind of like choosing between death by firing squad rather than death by having a grenade shoved in your mouth like a ball gag—something Katy Perry is probably really up on.

Further down the Hot 100, Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" inches up to #69. Hey, at least now it's bested the #72 peak of his version of "No Boundaries," right?

Sigh. And as expected, the party couldn't last forever for Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite here in the U.S. without a hit single or some promo appearances to support it. This week the LP drops from its debut position of #19 to #89 on the Top 200 Albums chart.

But on an upbeat note, Kylie's "All The Lovers" is the week's greatest gainer on the Dance/Club Play Songs chart, where it jumps up to #4.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Love The Way You Lie" - Eminem feat. Rihanna *1 week*
2. "California Gurls" - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg
3. "Airplanes" - B.o.B feat. Hayley Williams
4. "Dynamite" - Taio Cruz
5. "OMG" - Usher feat. will.i.am
6. "Cooler Than Me" - Mike Posner
7. "Billionaire" - Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars
8. "I Like It" - Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull
9. "Find Your Love" - Drake
10. "Ridin' Solo" - Jason Derulo

Everybody Wants To Have Sex With Eminem, Maroon 5 And Sara Bareilles

It's a week of several big debuts on the Billboard Hot 100, pop chyldren, so let's just jump right in with Eminem and Rihanna. Each one has landed a #1 single this year so far, with "Not Afraid" and "Rude Boy," respectively. And now their collaboration "Love The Way You Lie" comes crashing in at #2, thanks to Eminem's Recovery being made available last week.

Recovery opened with 741,000 copies sold—the highest one-week amount of any album since AC/DC (hot) moved 784,000 copies of Black Ice in October 2008. (And check out my assessment of the 17 albums that have hit #1 in 2010 so far over on Idolator.)

Anyway, Selena Gomez & The Scene pop in at #24 with "Round & Round," making it the Disney teen's highest chart hit yet. (My spring jam "Naturally" peaked at #29). Maroon 5 debut at #44 with "Misery," a song that sounds like every other Maroon 5 single ever released. The music video is set to debut in a few hours, so hold on to your hats, kidz.

Here's a 30-second preview:

This brings us to piano pop broad Sara Bareilles, who debuts at #59 with "King Of Anything." Let's hope this one becomes a hit (it's pleasant enough), so she can shed her one-hit-wonder coat—you know, to become a two-hit-wonder. The "King Of Anything" video leaked this week and keeps getting yanked off the Internet, but you can watch it here.

Rounding out the debuts (and, yes, there are about 47 other Eminem songs that entered the Hot 100 that I can't be fucked to write about) this week is Adam Lambert's "If I Had You," which goes in at #94. If there is a Pop God up there in the universe overseeing all things right and just, this song will go just as far as "Whataya Want From Me" did. Because Max Martin needs more money.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "California Gurls" - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg *4 weeks*
2. "Love The Way You Lie" - Eminem feat. Rihanna *new*
3. "OMG" - Usher feat. will.i.am
4. "Airplanes" - B.o.B feat. Hayley Williams
5. "Billionaire" - Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars
6. "Find Your Love" - Drake
7. "Cooler Than Me" - Mike Posner
8. "Your Love Is My Drug" - Ke$ha
9. "Alejandro" - Lady Gaga
10. "Ridin' Solo" - Jason Derulo

Just in case you missed it, watch Eminem admit he wants to "nail" Sarah palin and his reaction when johnathon Ross says "don't let the hat put you off" @ 0:15 .
