Blogger's Delight NYC and more

Here's a new event in New York City called Blogger's Delight. It's a really cool idea where one blogger every month gets to curate a night at the Knitting Factory Tap Bar. The organizers couldn't have chosen a better first curator than David Bruno of Slap You In Public. Bruno's one of the men behind the People Don't Dance No More, which had a successful first night at 200 Orchard, he does a dance music column for Brooklyn Vegan, he has quickly become one of my favorite DJs in the city, a dude who knows dance music's history and its future. He's chosen to have Adam Kesher perform live as the headliner, their first US show. That's right, "their," as this is a six-piece band, not some solo dude. The music is of the indie dance variety, fits in well with so much of the amazing stuff coming out of Paris. They've got a new release on Disques Primeur, the EP An Allegory of Chastity. There's also going to be DJ sets from Bruno and the Turntable Lab bols Snack & C'Mish. It starts at 9 pm, it's free, it's at the Knitting Factory (74 Leonard St.) This is a great kickoff event, really excited to see where this one goes.

-Here's another party in NYC devoted to Europeans with new releases and first-time appearances in the States. The weekly M at Dark Room (165 Ludlow St.) is hosting the Calvin Harris CD release party tonight with residents Sean Fightcats and Mike Nouveau and special guest Lauren Flax. Yeah! This is a really nice night to go out on the LES and this is a great spot to choose. The crowds are gone, the people are relaxed, the PBR is $1 from 10-11:30, the music will be amazing and the giveaways are free.

-Finally, it's the second leg of the weekly tour of LA area clubs by DJs S!n, Luv Tek and crew. Tonight, Club Genre hits Cinespace (6356 Hollywood Blvd) with DJ Klever in tow, along for his 2nd Cali gig and the LA debut of Dan-O-Mite. There's also Zendo Joaquin, photos by Neil Sharum, things start at 9:30, free until 10:30, $5 for guys until 11:30
