The Most Annoying Video ( by Miley)

Miley Cyrus gets the girls — big sis Brandi, BFF Mandy Jiroux, Nicole Webber and Moosh — together for another very annoying video, which was posted on Miley and Mandy’s official YouTube channel!

The 16-year-old Disney starlet collected all of her friends and threw together another Sweet 16 party. Miley starts off the vid watching herself in an episode of Hannah Montana, but it soon turns into a sleepover party when the other girls drop by. They all rock out to Year One’s rendition of Miley’s “See You Again”.

I actually quite like it, and don;t you think the brunette girl looks just like rachel bilson!!!!!!!

Brandon Flowers Is Very Modest....

Brandon Flowers thinks he can write the best song of all time.
The Killers frontman - who recent ly defended the bizarre lyrics to the band's current single 'Human' - insists his dream is possible and something he will always strive to achieve.
He said: "My ultimate ambition is to write the best song of all time. It's exciting to me that's a possibility and I do believe it is possible. I'm a believer.
"I'd love to write a song like John Lennon's 'Imagine', to have something as cut and dried as that. You wouldn't want to change a word, but that's another gift - it is all to be celebrated."
We want to see where this will take us
Brandon, who admits to having "a drive bordering on obsession", also believes The Killers can overtake U2 as the biggest group in the world.
He added: "U2 are unbelievable but they're getting old. I think it's time.
"We want to see where this will take us. It doesn't make any sense to place restrictions."

Miley Cyrus Performs On The X Factor...

After her performace, Miley gave the remaining contestants a bit of advice for the rest of the competition. She shared, “There will always be a Simon [Cowell] in your life. No matter what you do, no matter what kind of job you have. You will always have someone like that and I think it’s good. There will always be something you can improve on and you need someone like Simon to tell you that you’re not the best and there’s other things you need to do.”

Miley Cyrus 'Bolts" at The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Miley Cyrus 'Bolts" at The Macy's Thanksgiving Day ParadeMiley Cyrus, 16, rode the Bolt float advertising her new animated film with John Travolta, 54, in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.

Attired in a warm woolen cap, white winter coat and colorful scarf, Cyrus was all smiles for the cheering crowd.

Cyrus, who's been seen all over NYC dining and taking in shows this week with shirtless wonder and boyfriend, Justin Gaston, 20, sang the song she recorded for the movie - "I Thought I Lost You."

MTV reports that the movie theme could possibly snag Cyrus her first Oscar.

Her co-star John Travolta says that "those lyrics, the melody, those choruses are A-plus stuff."

Cyrus wrote the song with her songwriting partner Jeff Steele.

Britney's X-Factor Performance

For her first live UK television performance in over four years, the back-in-the-groove pop princess performed her hit single “Womanizer,” while the five remaining X-Factor competitors gave their own renditions of Britney classics.

And there was still the question of: was she miming?
Those fans able to look past the skimpy PVC hotpants and fishnet stockings were left wondering whether the long-awaited performance was all that it seemed.

The pop princess' energetic dance routine did not seem to interrupt her vocals - which seemed near perfect.

This was despite apparent problems with her microphone, which she touched several times during the three-minute performance.

A spokeswoman for the X Factor production company insisted Britney had been singing, telling MailOnline: 'There were some live vocals, but that's a question for the record company.

As she bounced up and down Louis broke into a large smile, perhaps appreciating the novelty of his front-row view of Britney's butt.

After her performance a grinning Britney told presenter Dermot that appearing on the X Factor was 'awesome' and 'amazing'.

'I love being here in London,' she gushed.

Unlike guest stars Take That and Mariah Carey, Britney did not mentor the contestants ahead of last night's show.

Ashford and Simpson - Set It

Ashford & Simpson

Ashford and Simpson, "Don't Cost You Nothin'" (YSI link)

Ashford and Simpson, "Send It" (YSI link)

Ashford and Simpson, "Bourgie Bourgie" (YSI link)

For those who have had a chance to listen to the first disc of the Larry Levan mix, you couldn't help but have been struck by the opening instrumental song, a beautiful, keys-driven tune that starts things out so perfectly and lushly. That tune comes off of Ashford and Simpson's Set It LP from 1977. Ashford and Simpson were Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson, who actually originally made their name writing and producing hits for other artists, including Miss Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye and Chaka Khan. They worked at Motown working with a who's who of that label, but eventually left to make music on their own. Their names

This is their first album, one of many to come. This one is for the lovers in the audience, as Ashford and Simpson sing songs about love and sex in male-female duets. The music is mostly slower, soul-inspired stuff, not necessarily dancefloor burners. This is for those moments with your significent other, lying around the apartment, just hanging out together. In other words, this is grown folks music, not for the kids in their neon outfits partying to the latest electro remix. "Send It" was the only single to make the charts, a nice R&B slow jam featuring a flute, strings and piano that add up to something a little cheesy but still delicious. "Don't Cost You Nothin'" is a personal fav. It's all about this nasty bassline, gives the song a dirty, slinky feel that works perfectly with the back-and-forth male/female vocals. "Bourgie Bourgie" is the highlight, a perfect 6 minute instrumental that makes you feel like you are floating on a cloud.

No clue what we're going to be getting into this week coming up, so check in again soon and see what I'm feeling.

Plaxico Burress Shot

Plaxico Burress Shot

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was involved in an accidental shooting at a night club Friday night.

Giants wideout Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg at a nightclub Friday night. Burress spent the night at

the hospital, and his wound is not considered life-threatening.

Burress had already been sidelined for this Sundays’ game against the Washington Redskins due to a hamstring injury. He was

not at team meetings and did not attend Saturday’s walkthrough. Specific details of the shooting are not available, and the

Giants are not commenting on the incident.

This marks another black spot in what has not been a good year off the field for Burress. He has been suspended and fined

several times this season for missing meetings and arguing with officials. After all his woes, Burress insisted he was not a

distraction to his team. Burress is currently playing on a $35million contract that he signed after the Giants won the Super

Bowl last season.

Linux 2.6 kernel ported to the iPhone

Linux 2.6 kernel ported to the iPhone

A rather interesting report has been filtering out of various websites: a 2.6 version of the Linux kernel has been ported to

the iPhone. This Linux operating system can be used on the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, and first-generation iPod touch platforms.

This site: http://linuxoniphone.blogspot.com/2008/11/linux-on-iphone.html announced that the Linux 2.6 kernel has been ported

to Apple’s iPhone and is fully (more or less) functional, with support for the first and second generation iPhones as well as

the first generation iPod touch. They do warn that this is a rough first draft

of the port, and many drivers are still missing, but it’s enough that a real alternative operating system is running on the

iPhone.

This could be an important stepping stone for the true acceptance of the iPhone for a new breed of higher-end tech user.

What’s included so far: the Framebuffer driver, a Serial driver (and over USB as well), and interrupts, MMU and clock.

Read-only support for the NAND is nearly complete as well. Touchscreen, sound and wireless networking as still being added,

but he anticipates those will be in soon.

Chris Matthews For Senate?

Rumors have been flying around over the past year or so about the possibility of MSNBC political commentator and host of

“Hardball,” Chris Matthews, running for the Senate in Pennsylvania. He was born in Philadelphia.

Could it really happen? Two separate reports today indicate that it just might. FiveThirtyEight reports that Matthews has

been in discussions with veteran Obama staffers to “enlist in his campaign.”

Additionally, the Associated Press picked up on the story today to report that a Pennsylvania Democratic party leader has

heard some serious rumblings of a potential run as well.

A Pennsylvania Democratic party leader says MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews may be considering a run for U.S. Senate in 2010.

The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reports Matthews met with state party leaders this past week in Washington to discuss a

possible bid to unseat Republican Sen. Arlen Specter.

Party official Mary Isenhour says she left the meeting feeling that Matthews still hadn’t made up his mind.

The 62-year-old Matthews hosts MSNBC’s “Hardball” and provides political commentary on NBC’s “Today.” He ran unsuccessfully

for a Pennsylvania congressional seat in 1974.
But of course, the inevitable “that’s crazy!” retort was given by a spokesperson at MSNBC to Politico in response to the

rumors which have suddenly gained newsworthy attention today.

UPDATE: Through a spokesperson, Matthews gave the following statement to Politico about the FiveThirtyEight report: “It is

absolutely not true.”
Matthews would reportedly run as a Democrat against veteran incumbent Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA). Some pundits, including

the Cook Political Report, see Specter as a possible candidate for retirement when his term runs out in 2010. Specter would

be 80 at that time and has had two serious battles with cancer over the past few years.

The Cook folks have Specter’s seat currently rated as “Leans Republican” which means it would likely be a competitive race.

A recent poll shows Specter would have a significant lead to start with, largely due to the fact that voters don’t know much

about Matthews.

Haryana to implement sixth pay commission scales from Jan 2006

Saturday, 29 November 2008

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the revised pay scales according to the

their dependents. This scheme would provide financial security besides giving social security to the employees.

Heidi Montag Didn't Tell Dad About Marrying Spencer Pratt

Heidi Montag doesn't usually play her cards close to the vest, but The Hills star didn't even inform her dad about marrying boyfriend Spencer Pratt.

"I would be upset if she got married and didn't invite me!" Bill Montag told PEOPLE Monday after reports surfaced that his daughter had eloped with Pratt in Mexico last week.

As for what to do now that the story appears true, "Then we just have to have another wedding here!” he said. On Monday, Montag told Perez Hilton that she and Pratt wed at the One & Only Palmilla Resort, just outside Cabo San Lucas.

"The minute we said our vows, I couldn't stop crying," she said.Montag, 22, and Pratt, 25, have chronicled their off-again, on-again (for good this time!) romance on The Hills – including a season cliffhanger about whether or not they were really engaged.

Shenae Grimes Denies Eating Disorder Rumors

90210 star Shenae Grimes says people who wonder about rumors swirling around her – that she has an eating disorder, behaves badly on set and is a party girl – should ask her before believing what they read.

"Nobody has asked me about it. I really can't help what someone thinks of me because they are reading a paper and choosing to believe it," Grimes, who denies the rumors, tells PEOPLE in its new issue. The 19-year-old Toronto native says the experience of moving to Los Angeles earlier this year parallels that of her character, high school student Annie Wilson.

"It was a huge culture shock," says Grimes, who became tabloid fodder the minute she was cast in the CW show, a remake of the uber-successful 1990s FOX drama. Soon after her newfound notoriety kicked in, Grimes – and her female 90210 costars – were slammed for being too thin and accused of having eating disorders.

"It's so frustrating," the 5-foot-3-inch Grimes says, noting that she does not have an eating disorder, but did have a close friend struggle with one for years. "Meet me in person, and you can't say anything. No bones sticking out," Grimes, who has been thin all her life, tells PEOPLE.

"Just because people are calling you skinny doesn't mean I'm like, 'Yay!' No! You're telling me I don't look right. This is me, this is my body – I have accepted it." As for being a diva at work and a party girl at night, Grimes shrugs it off. "The hours I work I definitely can't," says the self-described homebody who likes to watch DVDs and hang out with friends. "These are stories that have been written about everybody," says the star.

Larry Levan - Live At The Paradise Garage

Thanksgiving

Larry Levan, Live At The Paradise Garage Disc 1 (YSI link)

Wow, I killed Thanksgiving dinner, may have even eaten the plate in my gorging. Anyway, today is the day we give thanks for all that we have in life. I wanted to give thanks to all of my great readers, as you are the loves of my e-life. There's been an upswing in comments recently, which makes me so happy. I put comments right behind pastrami on rye on my top things in the world list, both of which are right behind sex and boobs.

I also want to give thanks for disco for saving my life. I can't think of more perfect musical statement of joy and giving thanks than this DJ set by Larry Levan at the legendary Paradise Garage. Throw this one on at some point this weekend and think of all the people you love, all of the great things in your life and all that is still to come. This is the soundtrack to those thoughts.

I've upped Disc 1 today for those who are newer readers. I promise to upload Disc 2 on Monday, as I had intended to do months ago. Celebrate! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

B Beat Girls - Hearts A Hurricane

Eye of the Hurricane

B Beat Girls, "Hearts A Hurricane (Vocal)" (YSI link)

B Beat Girls, "Hearts A Hurricane (Dub)"
(YSI link)

During the break, I've begun to dip my toe back into the hip-hop waters, although I still can't say I'm hearing much new stuff that interests me (get at me and let me know what I'm missing currently). However, my love for the early days has only gotten deeper, as I'm becoming obsessed with those late 70s/early 80s tunes when rap came into being. What's most exciting about is to hear the days when rap was so open to dance and electronic music, where it was trying to find its legs.

This B Beat Girls track, "Hearts A Hurricane," is a great example of this period, with the girls rapping over a classic electro instrumental complete with weirdo synths that give it that necessary futuristic sound. I really like the raps on this one, but it's the sung refrain that I love. Gives it a bit of a freestyle feel and makes things much catchier than you would expect. As always, you get the dub for those who favor less vocals. Yeah!

Good sex everyday, keeps doctors away

21 Oct 2008, 0000 hrs IST, MONIKA RAWAL

You would have never thought that a kiss could help keeping dental worries at bay or a gratifying sexual act at night make you feel fit and fresh the next morning. But that's what studies across the web claim.

Healthy sex leads to a healthy life. You may have tried copious measures to get that extra glowing skin and shiny hair. You must have also worked out rigorously to achieve that perfect ten figure you've desired. But the key to your mind and heart is fulfilling sex. Even for those who lose their temper or are always in a depressed state of mind, 'sex' can be the solution.

A happy sexual life with your partner not only gets you in shape with better skin texture and silken tresses, it also burns extra calories, keeps you fit, combats asthma, relieves headache, reduces depression and tranquilises your mind. From make-up experts, hair stylists, sexologists and fitness connoisseurs – there's a common consensus that a vigourous sexual life leads to a healthy life – both physically and emotionally. We get them share more on this...

There have been several notions stating that 'sex' produces certain hormones that bring happiness, which lead to a fit body and a healthy mind. Shedding some light on this, Dr. Sanjay Chugh, specialist on sexual issues, states, "Sex contributes to general good health. Any sexual intimacy that is enjoyable and pleasurable promotes well being by providing several physical

and psychological benefits. It is believed that sex boosts chemicals in the body that protects us against diseases. Research also suggests that sex and masturbation can help ease joint and muscle pain, combat depression, promote heart health and
lengthen one's life span."

Dr. Samir Parikh, clinical physiatrist adds, "The basic fact is that a good sex life also means in a larger picture, a good relationship with one's partner and this makes the partner happier, less stressed and by virtue of that physically
healthier."

Not just this, sex also accelerates blood circulation and one's basic metabolic rate, which further enhances the well-being of our mind and soul and helps us calm down.

On these emotional benefits, Dr Chugh adds, "A satisfying sexual relationship strengthens the bond between couples, making them feel secure and loved. The feeling of emotional connectedness adds to ones sense of belonging, which in totality helps

them achieve a positive physical, psychological and spiritual state that is necessary for one's general health."

Elaborating further, on a scientific angle, Dr Avdesh Sharma, a consultant psychiatrist, and an expert on relationship issues shares, "Sex is a way of bonding at the physical, mental and emotional level and leads to health (including psychological)

benefits. If it is used as a mechanical process, it may have limited benefits. There are physiological benefits of positive changes in parameters like pulse, heart rate, reduction in blood pressure (after an increase in B.P. specially if vigourous
sex is tried), dilation of blood vessels and capillaries of the skin, leading to a 'glow', burning of a few calories (depending on the duration of the act and vigour), exercising of some of the muscles, thus improving lung capacity (during
heavy breathing)."

However, we also need to understand that sexual acts work more in terms of improving resistance, but are not a safe guard or a treatment to illnesses. Any sexual act can neither be used as a treatment nor would it change your stresses of life, which
one would need to resolve irrespective.

"The extra edge of sex may be due to the feeling of being wanted, an expression of emotions and certain hormonal and physiological changes that happen as an expression of love for another individual. Unfortunately, the benefits of sexuality are usually quoted out of context and people may look at this as a panacea for everything. But sexuality without emotions have limited value," concludes Dr Avdesh Sharma.

Here are some lesser known fun facts about sex.

Have sex stay fit : Sex may seem like the safest sport you can take up. It de-stresses you, keeps you rejuvenated, elevates your moods and stretchs, tones and exercises your body muscles.

Expert opinion : Dr Ishi Khosla, clinical nutritionist, Director Whole Foods asserts, "Sexual acts certainly lead to a normal mental well-being and a healthy state of mind. This in turn creates a physically fit body. If there's an ill-health or

manifestation of any problem, it would reflect on your outer body."

Dr Samir Parikh adds, "You would still need a balanced lifestyle, which means that if you compare two equals in terms of lifestyle age and other factors as a constant, then it's possible that a sexually active person feels better."

Sex burns extra calories : It is indeed a form of exercise and naturally burns one's calories too.

Expert Opinion : Dr Geetu Amarnani, wellness expert at Kolmet Hospital, opines, "While having sex, the BMP (basic metabolic rate) increases and that ultimately helps in burning the calories, so it's widely believed that one can shed that extra flab through sexual encounters."

Sex for glowing skin and hair : When women make love they produce the hormone oestrogen which makes their hair shine and their skin smooth.

Expert Opinion : Make-up expert Sylvie, also an expert on sexual issues asserts, "As sex helps releasing the extra level of frustration and stress on one's mind and body, so logically it leads to a glow on your face and your skin texture looks
better too. Also, hormones in our body are activated at a faster rate than usual during sex, which helps in better blood circulation, adding that extra shine to one's skin and hair."

Sex brings relief from headaches, reduces depression and tranquilises your mind : A satisfying love-making session releases tension that restricts blood vessels in the brain. It brings you out of a depressed state of mind and acts as a tranquilliser.

Expert Opinion : Dr Sanjay Chugh, "The pleasure that is derived from a satisfying sexual act tends to relax one's mind, taking away headache. It releases endorphins into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria and leaving you with a feeling of well-being. Good sex leaves the person feeling relaxed and satisfied thus acting like a tranquiliser."

A kiss to keep dental problems at bay : It is medically accepted that a kiss encourages saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the level of the acid that causes decay. It also prevents the build-up of plaque.

Expert Opinion : Dental expert, Dr. Vandana Jyoti opines, “Anything that increases salivation will help in bringing down the acid level, which causes damage to one’s teeth. It also prevents cavity. Other than a kiss, chewing gum and more of lemon
intake also tend to act in the same manner. But one has to be extra careful, as it might act the other way round, in terms of spreading germs, if either of the two persons involved in a kiss is suffering from a tooth infection.

Kanye West: I Love My...Shades

Kanye West: I Love My...Shades

Kanye West reinvigorated the striped sunglasses fad in his Stronger music video.

The specs aren’t really functional. They don’t protect the eyes from strong rays of sunlight, but they look super fly.

Kanye rocks them in almost every color; some glow in the dark. They’re called "Shutter Shades" because they look like window blinds, a name popularized in the 1980s.

The shades debuted in the music video for Glittering Prize by Simple Minds, from 1982. Kanye’s cleverly designed specs were directly inspired by an Alain Mikli version. Shutter Shades are now known as Kanyes.
