I guess i would be jealous of Kate Middleton too, so i kinda understand. but still... ugh!

Losing Steam

Is there anything scarier than being done with school and wondering what's gonna happen? What comes next? Who do I talk to? Where do I go?
I feel like when I started school I was very motivated, I had that drive you need to be successful, but throughout the 3 years of my program, i've somehow lost it. And i'm wondering if i'll ever get it back.
The major thing is, i've since realized that I don't want to work in the fashion industry, I don't even think i've ever wanted to. It just wasn't a dream I've ever really had. Why did I decide to study fashion marketing? I have no fucking idea.
So do I go back to school? I don't think so, i'll be so sick and tired by the time i'm done another program i'll lose every last bit of motivation I still possess. Or do I look around and fuck my way to the top? Hardly, if it was that easy I would have done it by now. Do I just think about it some more and get a minimum wage job to pay for my shit? If I do that, i'll get somewhat comfortable and I won't really look for anything better.
So i've come to the conclusion that I have to starve a bit to give me that extra push in the ass I need to really get my shit together and make something happen for myself, because god knows no one's gonna approach me with a job offer if they don't know i'm out there looking, and I can't depend on anyone else to do anything because it seems everyone is in the same boat. It's do or die mother fuckers, let's hope I remember how to swim!

The Luckiest Director

Wes Craven is one of the luckiest directors. why? Because he's not very good! Craven has no real style, he only shines when he has a truly great script. Throughout the years, he's written most of what he's directed, and some of them are classics, but when he has a bad script, he's very bad. There is no Craven style to save anything. Most evident in the latest of the Scream series (Scream 4) the thing feels like it was put together very very fast and it feels like every other piece of crap horror movie out there, because the script is bad, and Wes couldn't save it. That's why I feel Wes Craven is a very lucky director, because he was blessed throughout all his career with good scripts that turned out to be good movies, unlike other more talented directors, who could make a bad script look pretty decent, Wes cannot. He's not a totally awful director, he's very good with actors (and actors love him) but in terms of cinematic style, there is simply none to speak of. That being said, you can kind of get a feeling about my opinion on Scream 4. $$$! Here are some of Wes' most known projects: The Last House On The Left, The Hills Have Eyes, Swamp Thing, A Nightmare On Elm Street, ''The Twilight Zone'', The Serpent And The Rainbow, Shocker, The People Under The Stairs, New Nightmare, Vampire In Brooklyn, Scream, Scream 2, Music Of The Heart, Scream 3, Cursed, Red Eye, My Soul To Take, Scream 4.

Warhol Mess

I have no idea who made this, but one thing is for sure, Andy Warhol would hate it! How dare they?! That being said, I think the recent surge of Warhol love is a bit much, the man wasn't the genius that everyone seems to agree that he was (but that's just my opinion).

Lebowitz Is Expensive

I've recently watched the Martin Scorsese directed documentary on author Fran Lebowitz. I've always loved her, i think she's hilarious, and i could watch and listen to her talk for years!
The woman has only written 2 books in her life (Metropolitan Life & Social Studies), and they're both out of print. Wanting to read them i looked on eBay to see if any of them were selling, and this is what i found!
WHAAAAT!
So retarded! Thank god they're both being re-issued because of the documentary!
She's written articles for a lot of magazines throughout the years, worth checking out if you've never read any of her stuff.

Bitches Be Stealin'

A friend of mine was in New York City last weekend, he went to a bar, and took the first picture above. The second picture is my Halloween costume.
There's something fishy about this! Someone is stealing my material, not to mention my outfits!
FUCKERY!

Dior Sans Galliano

The Christian Dior show was yesterday in Paris. Head designer John Galliano having been fired this week, the show still went on, and this is what happened:
''The entire design team at Christian Dior, clad in white lab coats, walked onto the runway to receive applause after the show in Paris today — the first that would go on without dismissed designer John Galliano in fifteen years. The team received a standing ovation.''

Worst Dressed At Vanity Fair

My pick for the worst dressed at the annual Vanity Fair post-oscar party:
Madonna!

Franco Hathaway, Epic Fail

New York Magazine said it best:
''Franco is from Mars, Hathaway is from Venus
If Franco and Hathaway's oppositional approaches to hosting had been set up from the very beginning as the comedic heart of their partnership — spaced-out, jaded, eye-rolling Franco having to put up with manic, yelping, enthusiastic Hathaway; energetic, game Hathaway having to encourage Franco to get into the spirit — it might have worked as a comedy routine in the Burns-Allen mold. Instead it was like watching two people operating in alternate realities (or having two very different drug experiences), with the distance between them expanding and expanding as the show went on. Hathaway committed, and committed hard. She sang, she emoted, she projected. Franco, meanwhile, went blank-slate, projecting nothing except expressions verging on outright disdain. As he got more and more ironic, she got more and more worked up. He may have kept his cool (and tweeted up a storm), but why take this job if you're not going to try? And he left Hathaway hanging in the wind, exposed as a Rachel Berry in front of 100 million people.''
